Will AWS' facilities in Montgomery County impact drinking water?

No! AWS will use deep on-site wells, completely independent from the existing local water system. There will be no impact on your drinking water.

Where will AWS get the water in Montgomery County?

AWS will use its own water supply system that will be completely independent of the local utility infrastructure. Water will be supplied from on-site wells and will be constructed in full compliance with all local and state regulations. The amount of water AWS uses will be similar to local manufacturing facilities that already exist in Montgomery County.

Will AWS facilities use water from the same aquifers as residential wells in Montgomery County?

Residential wells and those that AWS will use are accessing aquifers that are separated, protecting residents’ water. According to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, "[w]ells that fully penetrate this aquifer are capable of producing more than 1,000 gallons per minute (gpm). This aquifer contains an estimated 60 trillion gallons of usable water." That is more than enough water for everyone.
